Prayer for Peace and Justice in Ukraine.
PRAYER FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE IN UKRAINE.
God of peace and justice,
Who change the hardened heart and break the power of
violence, we entrust the people of Ukraine to you.
Protect them in this time of peril;
let them know not death but life, not slavery but freedom,
You are Father of all;
we are brothers and sisters.
Give us the strength to live that truth in love,
choosing peace not war.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal; Each year we run a winter appeal, asking for your assistance to provide food and other basic necessities for those in our community who are really struggling to make ends meet.
Every day at the St Vincent de Paul Society, we see that ordinary people are able to make an extraordinary difference in their local communities. We are inspired by the joy of the Gospels and our Catholic social teachings to do things that matter. The spirit to feed, heal, shelter, nurture, and inspire-the power to change lives – is in everyone. As we enter this winter in the shadow of coronavirus, your commitment to helping those experiencing disadvantage, poverty, loneliness and homelessness is still very much needed and appreciated.
If you are able to make a contribution to the Vinnies Winter Appeal, please do so by visiting www.vinnies.org.au or calling 13 18 12.
Alternatively, you may wish to make a cash donation at a special collection on the weekend of 30th, 31st July or in the St. Vincent de Paul box in the foyer of the Church.
In the last quarter, in our parish, we made 166 visits, assisting 232 adults and 161 children.
In the last financial year, GIPPSLAND CENTRAL COUNCIL provided $1,427.080.00 worth of assistance to people experiencing disadvantage, assisting 17,466 adults and children. Please help us to help others. Thank you.
